Brooklyn born – Harlem raised, comedic actor, writer and producer, Jimmy Martinez got his break in the comedy world by the age of fifteen. True to his character for being relentless Jimmy would stand outside nightly telling jokes in front of the famous Uptown Comedy Club in Harlem New York as people would exit to go home after the show. Young Jimmy was finally given the chance by the Brown Brother’s to perform on stage; from that night the rest as they say was history. Towering at 6’5, when Jimmy Martinez makes his way to the stage you wouldn’t expect him to sound the way he does as he boldly delivers His unique brand of Alternative Urban comedy that has made him a staple in stand up amongst his peers. Jimmy has had great opportunities to share his talent early in his career Jimmy got his chops wet with sketch comedy in the Secret Society with the likes of Donnell Rawlings, Mike Epps, Red Grant and Joe Clair. He took to the radio waves by storm at Hot 97’s morning show brining the morning show with Sway from MTV NEWS that was lacking heavily in ratings to number one., with his an edgy disposition and provocative inquiry. After performing at Jamie Fox’s Laffapalooza Jimmy’s exposure increased as he toured opening up for other greats such as Corey Holcomb, Patrice O’Neal, Tommy Davidson and Kevin Hart. Not limiting himself to urban audiences Jimmy put his brand of comedy to the test by hosting emo punk rock festivals with over 50 bands and 15,000 fans a day for Warp Tour and Taste of Chaos Rock Tours earning him a broader fan base
